About A Slice of New York Squared

A Slice of New York Squared brings authentic New York style Sicilian pizza to Pittsburgh with a focus on quality, craftsmanship and digestibility. Our sourdough crust is fermented for up to 72 hours. Additionally we use premium ingredients such as Bianco Di Napoli Organic tomatoes and Caputo Brothers Creamery Fior Di Latte (fresh mozzarella). These pizzas use the same ingredients that earned us high praise in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette's top pizzas in Pittsburgh along with the current highest score given by Barstool Sports's Dave Portnoy with an 8.2 mark. Located at 319 E Carson St, Pittsburgh, PA 15219, A Slice of New York Squared operates as a pizza restaurant serving Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 AM–8 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach A Slice of New York Squared at (412) 785-7198; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is asliceofnewyorksquared.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 66 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pittsburgh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Delicious pizza! The crust was so light, airy and crispy at the same time. The owners are so sweet and welcoming. My boyfriend and I got a pizza flight and a pepperoni pizza. I've never heard of a pizza place offering a flight, it's such a cool concept! We'll definitely be back soon 😊

Sean and Jessica Jefairjian are making some of the best square cut pizza in Western PA. The sourdough crust is incredible. Every pizza is top notch. You really can’t go wrong. Really wonderful people too!!

I think the pizza is different and fun. The quality of ingredients seemed pretty great but overall I thought the flavors were lacking compared to some other local options in the city. The red sauce tastes a little too much like just crushed tomatoes. The sourdough has wonderful flavor but is too airy, on both a pizza and sourdough level - I want more chew in the bite. The bread feels too light on the palate. Toppings besides this are top notch and flavor synergy is great. I still highly recommend this spot to locals and visitors in Pitt. The place is awesome. The people are great. The venue is different from others, truly unique, and the pizza has some passion in it. I think they'll only get better with time. Secret I stumbled on. One of the best spots for sunset in Pitt during the summer. A wonderful view of the skyline and river if you walk passed the restaurant after grabbing a slice.

We walked in as they were closing, ovens were already off but the owner insisted he would turn them back on so we could try this delicious pizza. The owner and his wife were amazing and I must say the pizza was phenomenal!!! I HIGHLY recommend trying it! Thank you again we will definitely be back!!
